Becas

NORAD Fellowship Programme
The Royal Norwegian Embassy's function is to forward the submitted applications to Norway, and it plays no part in the decision-making process. Applicants should contact the Fellowship Office and the International Summer School in Norway for further information

The Norad Fellowship Programme for post graduate study in specified fields. This fellowship programme targets personnel employed or formally linked to public institutions, non-governmental organisations, private sector enterprises, universities and research institutions, who will benefit from further education in order to strengthen the performance of their respective institutions. Applicants must fully satisfy the academic qualifications (a university degree or equivalent), and other admission requirements according to the specific criteria set by the Norwegian university or college in question. Relevant professional experience of two to three years is an additional requirement. Further information may be found on the website http://siu.no Application forms can be downloaded from this site. The completed forms, together with the supporting documentation in duplicate, must be submitted to the Embassy no later than the last week of November for the ensuing academic year.

An International Summer School at the University of Oslo
Although the courses offered by the Summer School are not formally credited by Guatemalan universities, the experience is most worthwhile and academically stimulating. It runs over a six-week period, from the end of June to early August. A few scholarships are available and administered by the Summer School itself. Non-scholarship students are also welcomed. Further information can be found on the website http://siu.no  or e-mail international@admin.uio.no Completed applications with supporting documentation - the forms can be downloaded from the website - have to reach Norway no later than 1. February for acceptance in June of the same year. Alternatively they can be handed in at the Royal Norwegian Embassies in Guatemala by mid-January, if they are not sent directly to Oslo University.
